Billing

Refunds and cancellations

ThumbSignal uses a clear credit policy: cancellation stops future renewal, completed generation and scoring work is generally not refundable, and confirmed service failures without a usable result restore the reserved credits where possible.

Canceling a subscription

You can cancel a paid subscription from the billing area when Stripe customer portal access is available for your account, or by contacting support with the email on your ThumbSignal account.

When a subscription is set to cancel at the end of the current billing period, it remains active through the period you already paid for and then stops future renewals.

If a subscription is canceled immediately, access to subscription credits and watermark-free outputs may end sooner, subject to the Stripe billing state, payment status, and applicable law.

Monthly credits and top-ups

Monthly subscription credits are granted for the active billing period and reset each billing cycle. Unused monthly credits do not roll over after the billing period ends.

Top-up credits are extra credits available as add-ons for active subscribers. They can be used while the account has an active paid subscription in good standing, unless the account is closed because of fraud, abuse, chargeback, illegal activity, or terms violations.

Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another account unless ThumbSignal expressly allows it.

Refund posture

Used credits are generally not refundable because generation and scoring costs are incurred when the request is processed and a usable result is returned.

We do not normally refund a subscription period simply because monthly credits were unused, because credits are made available during the active billing period.

If you believe you were charged by mistake, billed after cancellation, or affected by a duplicate payment, contact support with your account email, payment date, and Stripe receipt or invoice details.

Failed generations and reviews

If a generation or Packaging Score request fails because of a ThumbSignal service error, upstream model error, storage failure, or payment-state issue and no usable result is returned, we can review the request record.

When no usable result is returned because of a confirmed service failure, ThumbSignal restores the reserved credits automatically where possible. Support can review the server record and apply a manual correction if the automatic restoration did not complete. Requests rejected before a credit is reserved do not consume credits.

Requests blocked for policy violations, unsupported uploads, invalid input, or user-side connectivity can only qualify for restoration when server records show that credits were charged and no usable result was delivered.

Chargebacks and disputes

Please contact support before opening a payment dispute so we can investigate and resolve billing issues quickly.

Chargebacks, suspected fraud, or payment disputes may cause temporary account limits, subscription cancellation, loss of access to unpaid credits, or retention of related records while the dispute is handled.

Statutory rights

Nothing on this page limits refund, cancellation, cooling-off, chargeback, or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived in your location.

If your local law gives you rights that differ from this policy, ThumbSignal will handle your request in a way that respects those mandatory rights.
